Keith Daniels Llantén is a Chilean-Guyanese saxophonist, composer, arranger, educator and leader of the Keith Daniels Quartet (KDQ) based in New York City.  His music has been performed by the One O’Clock Lab Band, Melissa Aldana, Alameda Memoria, Sexto Piso, Hardy Llorca, Kristiana Roemer, Edgardo Benedetti, Ipshita Roy and La Chile Big Band among many others.

He has performed with critically acclaimed musicians and ensembles such as The Villalobos Brothers, the Chilean National Symphony Orchestra, the Chilean National Youth Symphony Orchestra, and La Chile Big Band. With Sexto Piso, he recorded two albums: “Desde el Sexto Piso” and “Con Tus Manos Con Mis Manos,” the latter funded by a grant from the prestigious “Fondo de la Música” of the Chilean Ministry of Culture. It includes “Tempestad con Silencio,” an original composition set to the words of the poem of the same name by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. While in New York City, Keith Daniels founded the Keith Daniels Quartet and successfully crowdfunded for their debut album, with its release planned for 2025.

His work as an educator includes teaching saxophone and coaching ensembles at the evening program of the Universidad de Chile. He became Teaching Assistant of Jazz Arranging while studying in the University of North Texas and has been a faculty member of various music schools and private instructor in the New York area.

Keith holds an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, funded by the “Fondo de la Música.” He received a Professional Certificate in Saxophone Performance, a BA in Saxophone Performance and a BA in Theory of Music from the Universidad de Chile.
